help needed =0

hey guys, i finally figured out on what i'm doing first. my suspension and stereo is horrible. i mean, bose isn't normally bad for stock but it needs to be upgraded. my speakers and everything will sound fine one minute then the sound like complete **** and sound like there busted another. i think i'm gonna need new suspension because everytime i hit even a little bump, it's a big effect and my cd player skips 98% of the time. i was wondering if any of you could kinda just guide me to what i would need to fix everything about the suspension. and i seem to be having a little trouble finding an afe short throw as well, so if someone could tell me a good rx8 modding site or somthing or any advice about any of my questions will be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

Never fear, Jedi is here!!

- Bose: you know my thoughts on the bose system already.

- CD player skipping: this was an issue for some people and dealerships have been known to replace the unit but if you've had your car for a while it might be
tough. Do you have the single player? If so, look into the 6 disc or the mp3 unit. My mp3 unit does not skip NEARLY as much as my stock CD player.

- Suspension: what do you mean by "everytime I hit even a little bump, it's a big effect" Are you on stock suspension? Upgraded suspension will most likely cause the car to be stiffer which won't help you much.

- Axial Flow shifter can only be purchased directly from Richard Paul. The SS is at the bottom of this page: http://www.axialflow.com/products.htm

well, i have stock suspension, and my brother bought a 2005 rx-8 and mine is an 04 and i drove his yesterday and the way his car takes bumps compared to mine, you can barely even notice your hitting a bump compared to mine. like everytime that i hit a bump its like i'm hitting it hard. even when its a little speed bump.

getting new suspension isn't going to help? what would?

Your GT model comes with stiffer shocks and 18's instead of the other less stiff and 16's. rim size. If its too stiff for your liking a less aggressive spring and shock will help. search the threads for shocks and springs loads of info everywhere.

did you buy your car new?
The OEM suspension is not very stiff, not sure why your car is riding stiffer then your brother's. Do you hear a "thud" when you go over bumps?
Is the main issue with your suspension the fact that it makes your CD skip or does the car feel like it is not riding properly?

Bose - Its not the best on earth. but it aint bad for a 30K car.

CD-Player - not working? go visit dealership if u're under warranty. if not, u can find some used one from one of the members here. I have a 6-disc one collecting dust. not sure if I wanna sell it tho.

suspension - check and see if there are leaks anywhere. at the top of the suspension or the side. if everything looks good. then ... thats the way it is. Upgrading it will ONLY give you even more "bumpy" ride. Sorry thats how it is. ASK ME HOW I KNOW !

Short throw - You can buy it from Richard's site.

sometimes a hear a thud. the suspension when it hits every single little bump makes the cd skip. and its just alot stiffer of a ride than my brothers. his is alot smoother.
