Help! Mushy brakes

I painted my calipers yesterday. I didn't have any major problems, except when the piston came out a little too far while I was reinstalling the calipers. I used a large C-clamp to push them back in, and that worked just fine. Everything else went back together without a hitch. However, when I test drove my car after reinstallation, my brake pedal traveled almost all the way to the floor. I still have braking ability, but is diminished and very mushy. I also didn't hear or feel the ABS check while I reversed out of my driveway this morning. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong.

You just put a ton of air in the system. Bleed it before you crash it.

Thanks, I figured I try that first before totally taking it all apart again and reinstalling everything. How did the air get into the system? Did it happen when I compressed the pistons?

If you over extended the pistons, it could have emptied out the master cylinder and sucked air in there...
