help!!! how to fix gap between front bumper and hood.

OK I know all replica front bumpers don't fit perfect. But does anybody have any ideas how to fix the gap between the mazdaspeed front bumper and the hood. There is like 1-2 centimeter gap and i want it gone!!! haha
I know i know should of bought a oem bumper but besides the gap it looks really good.
will post pics of the gap later today.
thanks guysssss

the only two things that I can think of that you could do are:

1. add some sort of support to the bumper from the underside connecting from the lower supports of the bumper to the car that would make it push it up.

2. remold the bumper by adding fiber glass to the top part in order to fill that gap.

thats a little too off, even for a replica..the whole thing is dropped down well below the hood. Id honestly call the company and bitch at them, if not, then maybe build it up with some fiberglass or stick some kind of bar support across there

Thats WAY off.

This is one of the reason why I will never get any replica body parts.

they never fit well.

Also, what kind of quality can you expect when they cant even get the fitment right ?

each to their own I guess.

Hopefully that will get you at least looking a little bit better....the only thing is that if you push to much up on it it could possibly crack the bumper or start to create other gaps around the side markers

wait .just thought of something else.....put some washers or something underneath the screws on the top of the bumper where the gap is....that may help raise it as a single unit. If you do both that and the struts you may get some progress but dont hold your breath to much

guys - you are aware that the rubber bumpers under the hood are adjustable? just turn them and they will go up or go down.

you simply need to screw them in more so the hood isn't so high up.

thats going to make the opposite situation..your hood line is going to be below your fender line if you lower it enough to fill that gap. I dont get it.

I've circled the two rubber hood adjustments. Twist them to adjust the resting height of the hood.

My CF hood had the same issue, it was way too high compared to stock. Easy to fix.
