Now I don't know if anyone has asked this yet bbut I was just curious. Whats the top end speed on the RX-8??? Does anybody know???

 

I believe it was around 148 MPH according to C&D. I'm not positive though.

 

Didn't Buger also run some numbers? It's been a while since I've seen those though-

 

I'm sure I read that it was 155 (electronically limited) in 5th gear. 148 is probably the 6th gear limit (aerodynamically limited).

Actually, I rather suspect that it's 240km/h, which would be a whisker over 149mph.

 

Again, Swiss Rx-8 prospect says 240 and 230 for 240/192 HP resp. manual transmission. Is this such a difference whether it is 148 or 149 mp/h

Anyhow, if it is proper breaked in and driven over the time it will get faster
