Hardcore Suspension Discussion

Anybody have these numbers?

Corner weights:
Unsprung corner weights:
Motion ratio:
Factory spring rates:
Wheel rates:
Sway bar spring rates:
Suspension frequency:

Also, I haven't searched yet, but what are the factory sway bar sizes? Are they solid or hollow? If hollow, does anybody know the wall thickness?

I would also like people that race to chime in with their alignments (with type of racing/track) and what has or hasn't worked for them in the past.

Thanks for your very informative post.

I have found different motion ratios mentioned. So which one is correct?

0.82 Front
0.84 Rear

or

0.752 Front
0.855 Rear

Can you help clarify this for me?

These should be the numbers for the old "non sport" and the "sport" packages. Can't remember which is which though.

My post was actually quite informative since there's an old series of threads discussing spring rates, sway bars and other suspension components in depth
The titles were like sways sways sway, springs springs springs etc.

The only thing I could find was that series II RX8s appeared to have revised suspension geometry from changed lengths of some suspension components and slightly different mounting points with the bilstein equipped RX8s.

While bse didn't tell you what you want to hear that is probably the only response you are going to get. Most people don't know those numbers of off the top of their head so they would have to search for it. So why would they search for you? Anyways Bse did give you two good threads to look up. So search for those titles and you should find a discussion about whichever topic you looked at. Your answer should then be found. Good luck with your searching.
