Hey guys, I've tried searching on the forums and google image, and I haven't really managed to come up with anything, I suppose because its just so obscure of a request.

Any of you GT owners out there mind taking a picture for me of the rear trunk release button by the license plate? My car is a GT but it is somehow lacking that (yes it is a gt, I'm sure of it, credit card key, door request switch, etc)

 

I have a GT and I don't have a credit card key (that's probably the worst way of determining if you have a GT).

Either way, I have zero idea what you want a picture of? You mean the key slot on the right side (passenger) tail light that opens the trunk?

 

IIRC it is located above the license plate.

I think in the U.S., the only thing a GT has that the others don't is heated leather seats.

 

The AKE was only available from 2006+.

 

I still have no idea what that is. What does it even do?

 

AKE= Advanced Keyless Entry.
Idk about 8s, but on my wife's Venza, if you have the key on you, you can just push the button for the trunk, or just pull on the door handle to unlock it.

 

That is the way is the way it works on the RX-8 as well, there is a pad on the door handle and for the trunk. The credit card key stays in you pocket or wallet or whatever. I have a similar aftermarket setup.

 

Mine is an S2, so it may not be exactly the same, but here is a photo of it.
