grinding when down shifting!!

grinding when down shifting!!

i got the srmotor sports heavey duty clutch and flywheel, along with the clutch hose.. the problem arises when im down shifting from third to second... a grinding noise happens. now i just got back from a drive, it started to do it from first to ssecond now.. really i cant stand this noise, and feel like im killing my car. pleaese suggestions!!!!

sounds like the clutch isn't fully disengaged, have you checked your clutch line, make sure it's fully bled?

what about....

do you think it's due to the short shifter i installed, and not engauging correctly?

well grinding usually happens when someone tries to shift while the gearbox isn't fully disengaged.

i'm assuming that, before you intalled the clutch/flywheel, your short shifter was functioning normally, and you had no grind. if that is the case, then more than likely something went wrong during the clutch/flywheel install, and the clutch is unable to fully disengage when shifting, hence the grind.
