i got into an accident and got my grille replaced, however it looks different instead of being just cross hatched like it used to be, in the top corners of the grille there are two obvious holes and they look like they are meant to be there because there seems to be some sort of small intake hole in there. The grille isn't cut the holes seem to be designed to be there. Hard to describe, i'll take a picture tonight but to get an idea i made a paint image of it.

Any idea what those two holes are for? is that an 05 thing?

Whoever installed your grill should have transferred those pieces over from your old grill. If the old pieces were broken you need to order new ones. Those openings are where the transport tie-down eyes go.

The towing eyes in the trunk screw into those holes.

Look at where the jack is under the trunk cover.

It's for the tow hooks to go through. You're just missing the two covers. There's one in the back bumper too.
