This is my first time posting anything on the site, so i hope i did it right !! I found some HID headlights off a salvage Rx-8, the guy was telling me that its just a simple swap ? Is this true ?? I tried phoning my dealership, but they had no clue ! I just wan't to know before i waste any money ! Thanks...... :D

 

The HIDs use a different wiring harness, and have adjuster motors in them, with sensors on the front and rear suspension. They also use a different DRL module, which won't fit yours.

Since you have been there.....Have you ever looked into these HID conversion kits ?? I have a buddy that works at a performance shop, that claims there pretty decent !?

 

haha, still haven't gotten those in, not enough time. Everything is available from the dealer though, i just need to figure out my part numbers. If that salvage car is still around i would try and snake that off the car. IF anyone has any leads on those part numbers....

 

just got to proxenon.com and get a retro fit for the rx8
I sent sillygrl there and she has a set installed on her 8.

 

get aftermaket hid 6k to 8k in lumen would be nice that means it will kick out a blueish purple.

it might not say "RX8" kit, but just look for a kit that is the same bulb style you want. Im not sure what the bulb is on the rx8...h3?
