LOL and you know this, how? You letting a certain someone give quotes for you, especially old school ones since they have no creativity to think outside the box for a better comeback?
But it's still too damn far.

...to see if my car overheated.. tires fell off...
On the clunk...it might be one of these:

depending on whether "clunking" can be interpreted as "unusual" or "snapping."
On checking the lug nuts. Unless you're a working mechanic and have a calibrated arm, you really need a torque wrench. An inexpensive one will do for lug nuts. And you don't need to be as strong as some of the other guys in this thread think they are.

If it shakes the car (alot of power...) could that really be the brakes? Ive never had my brakes down far enough to tell (obsession with testing different brake pads) but that sounds EXACTLY like my car did when I blew one of the struts and would hit bumps at slow speeds. Really has nothing to do with turning though besides putting extra stress on the opp strut...
If it dosent turn out to be the brakes get that looked at (after Ken-x8's spot on suggestions), and if it started VERY receantly; turn the wheel all the way to one side and look midway up the strut (inside the spring) and see if there is any oil on it or any of the lower suspension parts... If its that you will know, there will be a decent amount in the forms of drops on everything.

How many miles are on your car? It might be your wheel hub bearings.
Upon reading the title of this thread, I had the feeling that scores of guys would jump in with help for this "girly", ultimately resulting in some kind of sex joke/remark that would scare her off. Humans...... so predictable.
It's a really bad Thunking sound and you can actually feel the whole car shift.... It could be brake pads I guess...
It's a 2006 with 48,000Kms.
And for moving to a warmer place... Yeah.. I really should.. but I'm stuck here for a while, so I gotta get my car 'winterized' for those -45celc days. *Shivers*...
Thanks for the help though!!

As far as flooding in the cold: you just can't shut it off until it's fully warmed up. You don't need to restart it to keep it warm. Just don't shut it off cold.
you may be the victim of some misinformation is all. Do some research on flooding on here and you'll quickly find out how it happens and how to avoid it.

BANG ZOOM!
I have nowhere else to go..... Could it possibly be the summer tires? I don't recall the "Thunking and jerking'' movements when I had my winters on...
