Gear oil Mixing questions?

Hey guys i have a few questions about mixing tranny fluids. Is this possible to do , and is it safe? I have heard people say they mixed the redline MTL and the MT-90 because the MT-90 is too thick and the MTL thins it out a little for smoother shifts. But there was debate over this on how safe it is. What do you guys recommend? Just go with the straight MT-90 from redline? This is my first tranny fluid change so i want to put the right stuff in it the first time. Also if i can get smoother shifts without compromising safety that would be great. If i can mix , what ratio should it be , in the format of MT-90/MTL. Hope to get some replies soon . Oh and purchasing Axial flow short shifter too yipee .

Yeah, I've seem some claims about mixing "the perfect blend" out of those two lubes. But more recent reports by owners seem to suggest that MT90 is really about as thin as you'd want to go. I switched to MT90 and it shifts fine; there's a slight adjustment as you realize you need to slow your shifts down just a tiny bit.
