Gap for AutoExe Wires on MazSport's NGK plugs

Has anyone installed NGK spark plugs and the Autoexe wires and noticed a huge gap spacing between the housing and the wire boots?
The gap spacing listed with the AutoExe wires were 5-10mm (even though the whole thing was in Japanese, I could still refer to the pictorials). I measured 1.5 inches (38.1mm) gap.
Now when I installed my NGK spark plugs that I purchased from MazSport's ebay store (which was the best price I could find) I did notice that the plugs were longer than stock plugs.
I've ran the car now for a few days and have checked the boots to ensure they didn't come loose (though I know that I should feel a misfire if it did come loose).
When I installed the Autoexe wire boots I did hear/feel the "click" sound so I'm assuming that it should be OK, but I would like to get advise/opinions from you guys who know a hell of a lot more than I do.
I attached a picture of the plugs/wires on my rear housing (this is my first upload so hopefully this works).
Thanks too all for your time and help.

Caution!!! your wires are not pushed in all the way. They push in all the way until you cannot see the ribs on the spark plugs anymore. This is a knuckle-buster!!!!

But like that you are probably going to damage your wires/plugs from either falling off or taking on moisture and corroding.

You need to push them on until you feel the click, but you also need to shimmy the rubber boot down the plug, which is quite difficult to do from underneath or above. As it sits now the boot itself is trying to push itself off the plug. You need to push and rotate at the same time to get the boot to slip as far down the plug as it needs to be.

After you actually get one correctly on you will see what I mean.

The easiest way to get the plugs on correctly is to take off the left front wheel, and the plastic guard, and twist and push the plug boots at the same time.

Thanks for the insight staticlag... I'll do that first thing when the sun rises.
I figured that something wasn't right and I knew that you guys are the best for advise.
You're right when you say that its hard from under the car and even through the hood (I tried it both ways). I took my wheel off when I replaced the spark plugs so I know that its easier to reach the boots that way (if my wires weren't still in customs at that time I would have done it then).
Thanks again for the help!
