Hi just to check is it normal to have a very strong petrol smell when we start our car n leave it to idle?

Inside or outside?

 

some one is running rich. i had that problem. I got a high flow cat and a k&N drop in .... never smelled it since.

 

oh my.. e fuel smell is from outside but cos i start e engine to run for awhile with e door open tt y i can smell those gas... im sure its not from e inside of e car... e engine coolent lite did blinked for awhile but it has not been up.. im bring it in for a servicing soon... prob nx wk or so.... hmmm im enjoying my car hmmm fingers crossed!

 

whats wrong with running rich? cause i really dont know.. but i can smell lots of excess fuel when i idle my car too. someone explain that.

 

I have the same problem in my 8
im going to have mazda check it out to make sure I don't have fumes getting into my car
