Do you by chance have a shop manual? I've ordered mine but it won't be in till Thursday. Today I'm removing the fuel pump to get some bad gas and water out of my tank (grrrr), but can't figure out the retainer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Randy
can we get some help here??

According to the manual (thanks club member) a special service tool is required to release the plastic retaining ring.

Rotate it, anti-clockwise to remove, clockwise to replace.
You NEED the special tool or something similar to torque it closed or IT WILL LEAK!!!
Also, remember there is a sub-tank there, so you need to use the fuel pump to evacuate fuel from the sub tank to the main tank if you have any more than half a tank in there. It would be better if you had a manual...
