Im doing something fun for the oil pressure. but before I start, I want to make sure something


is this the front Regulator, Spring, and the plunge ? and I have to take the oil pan off to change it right ?

 

one of the shop books shows this together with oil pump construction. its the only mention i can find of it.

The first one is an oil pressure relief. In case the oil system becomes blocked. So it does not grenade the oil pump.
The second post pic is the oil pressure regulator. It's located on the rear cast iron.

 

The reason I ask is :

Im going to play around with the Rear Regulator that Easy has mentioned. So I need to modify the front too (so it will not always go into bypass).

I know I can just buy Mazmart's kit and call it a day. but I just wanna try this myself first. hope I don't f-ed it up cuz I am going to try to rebuild my fC's engine soon. this will be another mod to do.
