Fresh out of Storage!!!

Ok i took my rx8 out from storage 1day ago and the car was giving me a hard time. Would start up and then the engine light comes up and flashes. so i got it towed to mazda and they told me every time a rx8 comes out of storage the plugs need to be changed. can this be true i mean 600$ each time i storage? would i be better taking them off for winter storage?

lol yeah misfiires...mazdas gonna charge you and arm and a leg, and it probably wont even just be the spark plugs. Could also be your ignitions coils and spark plug wires, you can do the work yourself for A LOT cheap, hell you can get all the parts for a LOT cheaper if you do it yourself, on a n00b scale from 1 - 10, 10 being the hardest, i rate this job about a 4.5 meaning that even the n00best of n00bs can do this. just search the DIY section

heres my own DIY on changing the coils, easy 20 minute job IF that

yah i have done the job myself before, but was on a hard deadline and was at work so could not manage it. Now is it normal for them to say i need to change the plugs each time i get the car out of storage?

Already knew the problem just needed it fixed fast :P

no, depends on the condition of your car and the way you drive it, mazda has no say on when your maintenance part go out.
