Yes - If you use it consistently, it should keep things clean all the time.

I still have a can of BG44k in the garage that I still have not used as I have not felt like any of my cars have needed it since I have started using FP Plus - they are all running great.

 

If I haven't used any premix or cleaners for 60K miles, is it better to give it a BG 44k "treatment" first and then switch to consistent FP Plus, or is it better to just start using FP Plus on a regular basis?

 

i would say yes, as that is what i am getting ready to do..

Agreed - since you have not used any at all, a "shock" cleaning would be beneficial so to use 44k would be good. From there start with a higher dose of FP Plus to get started and go to your normal rate.
