Forgive me, another compression thread...
I know, I know, please don't hate.
I have Googled, used the search function, scanned the stickies, etc. I can find tons of info regarding bad or less than stellar compression, but what would be considered good or great compression? Does the rating scale stop at 10.0? If so, a factory new motor would/should have........what?
The reason I ask is because on thursday, I am looking at an '07 with 30k miles. Original owner, but has never had a compression test. He is happily willing to. I am going to look at the car first just to be sure it is in condition that I will accept. Should it be a car I want, he will take it to his local dealer to have the compression checked before we strike a deal. More than fair to me.
I don't want adequate or acceptable, I'd rather be on the side of excellent.
I appreciate it guys (and girls?) big time.
