hey guys...

my kickplate (the metal thing that says rx8) as you get into the drivers side on the bottom tof the door jam, fell off...

does anyone know how to remove that super sticky grey foam tape that holds it on...i want to replace it and putthe plate back on, but i anticipate it making a mess.

any tips or tricks?

Use a hair dryer

 

And some Goo Gone.

 

After you scrape off what you can, you can also try using WD-40. I've used that remove all kinds of sticky stuff. Just keep spraying and let it soak in. Most stuff wipes off pretty good after WD treatment.
