I need something that can work easily to raise an 8 with S-Techs on. It won't be transported anywhere, mainly just sit in my garage for the ocassional oil change, maintenance, etc etc.

I have the low profile jack from Costco ($89 2-ton). My car is dropped approx. 1.75" in the front and the jack can not get far enough under the car so I have to jack it up from the side. I plan to get around this with a couple of 2x6 boards but have not had a reason to lift the car since painting the rotor hubs.

forgot about mentioning that one in the other thread, it seems quite stout, well priced, and a good garage jack if you have Costco access, I have no experience with it though ...
