What he means is you do not need to purchase the manual adjuster **** that is sold with the Sohn adapter. The OMP handles the injection amounts.
The only other method of adjusting the OMP volume is with the COBB.
No I won't be selling this car. When it's finally outlived it's days as a daily driver it will be parked and used for the weekend/track car. I have too much emotional investment in my RX8 to sell it to someone else.

Attached is a pic of the location.
Jeff and Erick fabbed up a bracket for a 1 qt tank that I put in place of the washer fluid tank. I almost never use the washer fluid living in the desert so I didn't see the need for it.

NIce write up dude, I just went over 118,000 myself (took me three motors to get here 
). I also will not be selling this car. The only way I will get rid of it is if it is destroyed somehow.

Heard that it might be bad for the syncro.
That's why I'm looking for some alternatives like 75w140 gear oil or Redline shockproof gear oil to solve this problem

Transmissions are hard to lubricate.
Yeah, if you use their oil when the tranny goes, it's definitely on them.
In fact the gear oils in US are usually designed for the hardest service which is the differential, and then as an after thought, it also can be used in the tranny.
But the sulfur compounds in the oil can cause trouble with the synchos, so a lower grade Mazda GL-4 gear oil might really work.

yeah, I think people aren't aware that the motor went BOOM.

Flashwing: Thanks for your wonderful writeup and post about your car. I can really see how the car is important to you.
What I think is interesting is that it furthers the question of how effective premix, sohn adapter, increased rates are, etc to the motor's actual long term longevity. Flashwing appeared to have taken all the precaution to extend the motor's longevity by doing the above, but it still failed relatively early. Of course we trust that he followed all that he said but there are factors we are not completely aware of, how he drove, etc. But it seems luck is a pretty big part of the draw. I am @ 111k, knock on wood.

My tuning setup (read: not tuned by MazdManiac) compared to my nitrous shot size was much too dangerous. I ran into conditions where detonation occurred and that was all she wrote. The sad thing was I had suspicions that the car wasn't running correctly and ignored my instincts. Had I listed to them I might still have a running RX8.
This was done against the advice of my team and certainly was not a setup that we suggest for customers or anyone else running nitrous. Just the perfect storm of conditions that resulted in a blown motor.

i'm sorry for bringin up an old thread, how come my rx-8 still runs strong... i have everything stock, aside from coilovers, and cat-back exhaust... i just replace my spark plugs, spark plug wires, and ignition coils every 30,000 miles, change oil every 3,000 miles, and i use castrol gtx 5w-20... replaced my transmission, and lsd fluid twice, which is at 72,000 miles, and 92,000 miles... during my first tranny, and lsd oil change, i brought it to mazda... then at 92,000 miles i replaced it with redline mt-90 for the tranny, and redline 75w90... i also installed a synchro saver(love it)... although my coolant sensor is messed up, that it always lights up whenever i'm reving high, but not running hot... i also check my coolant level like no other just to be safe... during my oil changes, i buy my oil filter at mazda dealership, same as the drain plug washer... i also drift my 8 during rainy days HERE IN CALIFORNIA, and my drift charm (which is a tiny teddy bear... lmao) enjoys is i could tell... so far my only problem is rear brakes, and tailight condensation(which idc)... i daily drive my car, and drive it when i'm bored... oh... i just replaced my clutch, and brake fluid like 2 weeks ago(121,7xx)... when i drive my car, is shift below 4k MOST OF THE TIME, and redline it whenever i feel like it, which is close to 1/day cuz i did pay a lot of tickets, so kinda paranoid... lol!!! anyway... just sharing my story...... have a good one fellow rx8 owners...;
