Fan still running - key removed

Before I get flamed with the standard "use the search feature"

I've searched high and low and can't find anywhere a clear answer on this...

Today being a 'hot' day...35 C (95 F) I had a 2 hour run, and other than the aircon running on fresh and struggling a bit at the lights (which would be normal) returned home and noticed the air-conditioner fan, (or another fan) was continuing to run...after the key was removed from the ignition!

....can anyone please help as to what is happening please? (sorry - relatively new owner here)

....I just found the page in the manual which makes reference to an electrical cooling fan turning on once the engine reaches a pre-determined temperature.

How normal is this during summer?????

Mine hasn't turned on for that long but I rarely kick the air conditioning on, unless it is in the 90s fahrenheit.

It does come on after the car is off, if the engine is reading high temperatures after driving.

Have you checked you coolant lately?

Do you have forced induction?

If it is hot outside, it will run for a few minutes. I never timed it.

Try living in Arizona in the summer. 120+ degree's. My fan stays on for what seems an eternity. And yes it is normal.
