Fan still run even without the key ???????

Hi all, here is the problem. After running for a good 30 min. or so with the air on. When I turn off my car and take the key out. The fans in the engine stay of. Is this normal???? By the way the temp. is about 85 outside and I shift around 4500 on each gear (normal driving). Any info will be great. thanks ahead

It's normal. On hot days the car will sometimes keep the fans on to cool itself down.

it will stay on for as long as 10 mins. if dumb people ask you what that is, tell them you have a turbo and you're car is still on because of the turbo timer.

The problem is... It will will by battery and my car would need a jumb to start.... Sorry I know this is a newbie question. My last car was 2.0L turbo with a timer so if the timer ran out everything stop.

It hasn't killed my battery and I have had my 8 since 2/2004. It normal, let the car do what it was designed to do.

the 1st time this happened to me i was actually amazed...i live in s florida where its ***** out hot...and it was an esp hot day (temp meter said 91)...after getting out the car i herd the fans, so i popped the hood and felt a rush of hot air hit my face...figured too it would drain my bat but after reading here i was reassured it would be ok.

The only reason I bring this subject up is because my car needed to be jumb start twice this week. I had to charge the battery with an external chager after the second time. I might just have a bad batt. I'll let you guys know if it goes out again.

You probably have a bad battery. My temp above the radio has hit 116 but for the most part the fan stays on when I shut the car off.

This was freaking me out. I would turn the car back on then off to shut the fan off. But then I found out it was normal.
