I was wondering if this would work in place of the slightly more expensive mazda part. And more importantly is the the exact match as the mazda part? This will be matching up to my borla cat back exhaust as well.

This is the part # for the mazda part I'm trying to match up: L307-40-581

The advanced one is in stock at my local store and is cheaper, the mazda part I'd have to order or get from a dealer. Anyone have any experience with the part? Any help would be great.

 

Looks the same and has the right diameter. I'd go ahead and buy it. You can always return it if it's the wrong one.
