Does anybody know if when they replace your engine do they replace the spark plug or reuse the current ones.

I've had my engine replaced twice. This last week I went in for service because of a rough idle and decrease in mpg. The tech came back and said my spark plugs need replacing....og course they are not covered under warranty because of my mileage. I said that I just had my engine replaced 21,000 kms ago....why would my sparkplugs be dead.


I was informed that they were not replaced when they replaced my engine. They re-used the old ones. Does anybody know the official procedure?

 

Mine were reused. No new plugs.
