Hey everyone, i have a problem. When I'm driving my 8, everything is running smoothly until sometimes when I'm in third gear @ 38-41 mph and around 2500-3000rpm and i let off the accelerator. I hear a noise that sounds like the engine grinding. I can't really explain the noise. My check engine light is on but I'm not sure if its from the problem i just mentioned or if the guy at the gas station didnt put the fuel cap back on all the way. The noise has been happening even before the engine light went on. It also feels like engine braking after i let off the accelerator. This is my first rx8 and idk if that's supposed to happen or not.

Not trying to be a dick here, but first... Why don't you get the CHECK ENGINE CODE read? You know that it's not supposed to make grinding noises.

Also, for good assistance, Please put you model year, MT/AT, miles, mods, in your post.
