I feel retarded for asking this question, but how are you guys physically adding the premix to your tank? Are you toting around a measuring cup and funnel in your trunk?
Just asking as I just purchased a couple quarts from Mazdatrix(although I only received one) and will need to fill up in a week or so.

I just use a 6 oz plastic bottle that I bought in Target for a buck or so.. they are in the travel supply section or something like that. No funnel needed..
Fill that up with premix and pour it in before fillup.
The premix smell is not a concern. Actually, the Idemitsu doesn't smell bad at all, nowhere near like gasoline, but you're hopefully not going to spill it, so don't worry about it.
You can store three 1-quart bottles perfectly in the trunk passthrough box if you want.

This might sound kinda lame, lol, but i keep mine in some water bottles that i got from walmart and put them in a zip-up lunch pouch and put them in my trunk. I've also got a funnel and a few shop rags in there too just in case
I premix mine ahead of time so its quick and easy. 4 oz of idemitsu premix and 2 oz of mmo. Really easy since its already measured. Heres a pic.

*Edit* The funnel is wrapped in some shop rags to the right of the pouch, and under the other rags below the lunch pouch is my extra quart of oil.

Heres a few pics of the lunch pouch itself with the bottles in it:

And heres the water bottles i put the premix in:

I know your all thinkin this might be cheesy, but no one really looks in your trunk right? Haha, and it looks somewhat organized.

There's a very nice old thread about Show me your premix kit that's dead for a few months now, may be better post there and keep that one going instead.
Can anyone guess what these are? If you guessed it right, these are bottles for "mommy's breast milk"!!! LOL, anyway, picked it up from the Pediatrics Floor. Measures both ounces and milliliters; simple, compact, ready, and fits perfectly to be poured in the gas tank... No funnel, no rags, no mess!

The Idemitsu containers are marked in 4 ounce graduations. I just notice the level on the container and pour the desired amount directly into the tank. No funnels, special bottles, tubes, or any other methods. The pre-mix and motor oil containers get stowed in the pass-through cubby between the rear seat backs.
I really don't understand all the overthought and additional methods just to pour oil into the tank...

I'm spastic and unco-ordinated, and I just set the bottle on top of the gas pump to read how much is in the bottle, then I tip bottle for about 2 glugs ( 2 seconds), and end up with about 8 oz.
I never mess up, and I might need 7 or 9 oz, since I'm not likely to need 12 gals each time anyway.

I don't have issues with the Idemitsu containers leaking. However, I did have one where the cap seal (thin rubbery film) came un-bonded from the cap and almost went down into the fuel tank. Now, I watch more carefully when I open the containers - haven't had another one do that since.
I found a bottle lying around that had a screw on cap with a long tip on it. Funny enough, it screws onto the oil bottle perfectly. So I decided to stick it in a bag and rubberband it to the bottle. Unscrew standard cap, screw on nozzle cap, pour in, and replace standard cap. Easy breezy.
I want to doubt the effects of the premix, but I swear it made a difference on the first drive after I added it. I'm extremely in tune with what my car is doing and the sudden nuances of it, and something is definitely different, for the better.
Go figure.

Im not crazy right??
Yea I had been driving my car for maybe 8-10k miles before premixing and then on the very first tank/drive I noticed the engine was much smoother.
