but his bearings where all ok--no abnormal wear in the front etc. Wouldnt you have some abnormal wear on some bearing somewhere if there was too much tension?
You mean its not unusual that that the rotors last less than 100K miles? That is what made me say what I did--when the op was told that his rotors were not reusable with the oem apex seals? Wow didnt know that.
not at all, remember my analogy way back when about taking a 4 ft long post and burying it two feet in the ground and also taking an identical post except 6 feet long and burying it 4 feet in the ground (they both extend 2 feet above the ground), and then rocking them back & forth to see which one would wallow out their hole and become loose faster? You know, back when you and everyone else said it was overkill for suggesting to machine the rotors out for deeper early 13B apex seals, just like you now have in your latest engine ....
the top pro builders were doing this way back in the early Renesis days ... you will find the apex seal clearance goes off a whole lot earleir than this (like under 10k miles), which is why re-using rotors is not suggested and is usually done by people who lack the tools and skills to measure them properly
