Does the stickshift Rx8 sound louder than automatic?

This may sound stupid guys but I want to know if the Rx8 in stickshift soundslouder when it is driven in full throttle than the automatic does or if its like the same. I know the stickshift can handle at least 2000 more RPM. What I want to know is that after 7000 RPM does the stick shifts engine just keep getting louder and louder or does it flatten out?
One thing I like about my automatic is that when I floor it from a stoplight it sounds so loud but the digital display says Im not even at 50mph yet! So most of the times I can full throttle my automatic loud enough to make it really growl but not have to worry about a speeding ticket. I guess a cop can still stop me for aggressive driving but not for speeding so I dont care. This makes methink that with stickshift if you want to hear the car sound its loudest with full throttle then you must take it past 60mph. Am I wrong?

Autotrans always use longer gearing (higher speed per RPM) so it is like being in a higher gear with a manual trans. This means you can open the throttle more for the acceleration and get more exhaust sound. At higher RPMs 7k - 9k the sound pitch gets higher like a 4 cyl sportsbike but not much louder. If you like a deep sound at lower RPM the auto is better

p.s. I agree about the UFO sound, abductees flee everwhere I drive:D
