Dipstick

Unreal service thread i started addressed the oil change nightmare i had. Just checked my oil and notice the dipstick has some of the paint off and showing metal. Wasn't like that prior to the oil change and it might be a stupid question but any chance it burned off and might be a symptom of the oil leak i still have?

if your's looks like mine... metal showing at the corners. I think its because it scrapes along the tube as i take out the dipstick. i have the same thing, although this may not be what youre talking about

If there is lots of exposed metal showing, the metal shavings could have clogged your oil filter, that's the only possibility of this relating to your oil leak IMO.

Thanks, yes I thought about scraping but this is alot showing up higher on the stick and in a matter of just a couple of days. Was worried it burned off.
