Difference Between....

ok well midpipes....

mazsport dual res. pipe VS. racing beat midpipe.

$465.00 $250.00

is the power gain about the same?
how much of a difference is the sound compaired to each other? anyone know?
do i get the racing beat and add on a borla race pipe for $130.00?

just a couple of questions to get answered... im really into the mazsport. but is it to quiet? the video makes it sound like there is stock exhaust. I HAVE GREDDY SP2 catback. out of the 2 midpipes what would be the best match...

thank you,

I wouldn't say that the MazSport mid-pipe is quiet (like stock), but its much better sounding than any other mid-pipe I've heard.
I create a video comparing the stock cat against the MazSport mid-pipe:
https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/stock-cat-vs-mazsports-dual-resonated-mid-pipe-150661/

I wish I had my AP mid-pipe to compare all three together, but it was already sold.
But this might give you a better idea of the sound from within the car.
I was running the Agency Power cat-back on both pipes.

Far as "performance" gains between midpipes... there was no difference. You are paying for the quiet, but nice deep sound.
For me, it was WELL worth it.

I think you'd be happy with the mazport midpipe. I've heard nothing but good things. Speaking of that midpipe maybe I should get it.
