Question Did my car get faster or am I nuts?

My 8 has about 6000 miles on it now.

In the past 500 or so miles it seems like the car just wants to tear up the pavement and scream down the road.

I'm a pretty conservative driver but I constantly find myself cruising at around 85-90 on the interstate without noticing.

The acceleration is more responsive and faster than earlier miles.

Am I nuts or have others experienced this phenomenon?

Many have said that it takes~5000 miles to break in the engine and mpg. acceleration go up after you reach that point. I only have 1300 on mine so can't say for sure that is the case.

I have 7200 miles and the car has gotten faster and gets better mileage than when new. The reflash a few months ago improved gas mileage while hurting 0-60 time (G-tech) but the overall trend has been consistent.

The car was slowly improving before the flash and it has been slowly improving since.

I'm approaching 5K and have noticed a steady improvement over the last 500 miles or so. The performance and overall drivability of the car just keeps getting better. Really makes me feel good about buying this car.

You're not crazy bro. My assumption is you got the M Flash. After I got mine last, week, my 8 just keeps getting better with age, like fine wine. Just shut up and drive !!

I agree. I have noticed mine getting faster. I have read here that the car learns you , as you drive it. I think its true ( and the M flash). 3000 miles and it just keeps getting better.

I got either L or M back in January and did not notice a single difference. MPG or power did not change.
That was 3000 miles ago.

It all happened after about 5500 miles that my butt dyno seemed to notice the difference.

Glad to hear that I'm not alone.

I thought a reflashed ECU relearns your driving habits pretty quickly.
