crackling noise?

Well, after searching and finding now answers in the older threads I need to ask a question. When I am hauling *** red lining like a **** I will hear a crackling once in awhile up in the striped/red zone area. Never noticed it before, maybe I wasn't paying attention but is something actually wrong?

IMO it is the sound of devilish carbon being cleared from your engine thus bringing life to your fav toy.

I get a crackling noise up in the high rev ranges during WOT that comes from the glove box. I think it's cavitation coming from the water pump hitting the heater core. Sounds eerily similar to my old water cooling rig when the pump sucked in some air.

The car has always done it. It's normal.

That is the sound of ripping of the space-time continuum.

You say bubble-wrap; my first suspicion would be cavitation; the stock water-pump is known to cavitate at those RPM. If you spend extended time in that rev range you might want to consider aftermarket pump (Mazmart?). Cavitation seriously impairs coolant flow when the engine needs it the most.

Could also be a light ping.

I use to get the marbles in a can sound all the time.

Guess what?

It's gone now that I have the MM Access Port.
