Could more active fan help reduce post-drive cabin heat?

Conclusion from a number of threads discussing post shutdown engine fan operation seems to be that the engine fan will stay on for about 10 minutes if the radiator temperature is sufficiently hot.

My question is whether or not the fan should be coming on more often to help cool the engine compartment. I ask this not from a technical perspective (I feel comfortable that the fan is set so that the engine will cool appropriately), but more from a view towards increased comfort/driveability. Like a number of others I have noticed the heat trapped inside the cabin after returning to my car which was parked (in the shade) after a 30 minute plus drive. (This is pretty uncomfortable, particularly on hot days when I am wearing a suit and tie!)

Could having the fan trip on at a lower temperature (and thus more often) help cool the engine compartment and thus avoid this problem?

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by that mikeb. I do not plan on changing anything myself. Just wondering whether or not this would be an easy adjustment for Mazda to make that would address a reasonably simple issue. Many cars have the fan come on after shutdown on a regular basis.

You'd probably get cooler results with a cooler thermostat.

But that could cause run issues in certain climates.
