coolant merky...

to start... my greddy emanage was not mapped so we had to send it out.. so i have had the turbo'ed car sitting at shop for a little less than 2 months.. they move it in and out when the open and close.. but don't REV the engine because the don't want to the turbo to blow itself.. but when putting the emanage back.. the car was acting up and running shitty.. i drove it for 2 weeks before i dynoed it and realized it didn't have a mapping on it.. DID I BREAK MY COOLANT SEAL....

they goin to drain and refill everything.. let me drive it for a couple days and see if the coolant gets merky again..

any advice as to wat to do

Murky....

Is it just cloudy, or oily/rusty?
Are you sure it wasn't 'murky' before the install?

If you broke a coolant seal, the reservoir would be bubbling with exhaust when you rev it, and the coolant level would be dissapearing (into the engine).

Another sign of "coolant ingression" is clouds of white smoke from the exhaust, you would know if you were burning antifreeze!
(My RX-3 had a bad case, Mazda bought me a replacement under warranty)

Doesn't sound like your problem is a seal.....

(Wow, did you just blow a seal?
- No, no, it's just icecream!)

hmmm

well im goin to check it out tommorw.. they said it was smoking.. but don't know what kind of smoke.. but my car was super super rich with out the emanage.. and right when they installed it they were pulling it out and said there was a lot of smoke... so im goin to give it acouple days of slow driving and see what happens... but even before my turbo went in.. i had to refill my coolant.. but that was about four months ago, and i bought the car in dec 03....

what they said to me, is that the engine could have gotten to hot and melted the seals.. cause the day they had to fill it up i melted my power pulley belts...

any thoughts..

Pull out the dipstick...it will be obvious. Or you can drain the oil and do an oilchange......antifreeze will be floating around in little globules....you will be able to tell. You know the old addage...oil and water don't mix :D

check your dipstick...or drain the oil. maybe the turbo itself has bad seals.

it just sounds like you had a near flood or flood. they moved a rotary in and out of their shop everyday for awhile without revving it. lots of short trips with no warmup. get it tuned and i bet its fine

Dude you melted your belts!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like engine trouble to me.

I've never seen a car overheat so much that it melted the belts.

Flooding sounds like it's a good option, but how in the hell do you melt belts?

melted belts by

i melted my belt because i think they were a little loose... and at a real high rmp.. i just shredded them..

so a tune up.. ? im getting car tommorw.. they're goin to drain all my fluids.. let me run on it easy and see whats' up.. how long does it take to work itself out if i flooded it?

also should i go to mazda for the tune up, cause if it is the seals.. im goin to turn everything back to factory and have them fix it under warrenty...

nononono you dont you dont get to blow up your engine by gettign a bad turbo install witha bad piggyback and then get Mazda to fix it for free. bullshit you play you pay simple aas that.

by tuned i meant get the friggin greddy tuned right. the emanage part. also have them check your plugs and clean replace if necessary. thats all. if you blew apex seals or side seals etc then you pay to get it fixed. or you get that shop that did the install and moved your car around or greddy for sending a non mapped emanage to pay. but you dont get it repaired under warranty.

ive got a stick up my ***? here i am trying to help you and otehr peopel and this is the crap i get? myself and others give you advise and then you say you ae just going to try to get it covered by warranty. and you think im the one with the problem? fing up your car and then trying to get it fixed under warranty causes problems for people who have real issues like those that have tranny problems right now. taking responsibility for ones actions is part of growing up. i suggest you do so.
