AZ Coolant leak

I have a coolant leak somewhere in my 2004 RX8. I don't really have the money to get it looked at by a professional, at least not for a few weeks. Any opinions on Bar's Leaks or other types of stop leak products? Are they safe to use on a rotary engine?

No, just do old fashion investigative work to see where the leak is coming from. Put a light down to see if you can trace it, most likely the hoses or the waterpump

I wouldn't use the leak crap on anything except a beater that you never plan on keeping

Like Tmak said...most likely are hoses or water pump. If your hoses are 5yrs old they may be getting kinda long in the tooth.....

As dannobre said ++. Just show us some pics of where and when. Give us some info on your car. It might be something simple. We might be able to give you some direction....

The leak is coming from the radiator. It doesn't appear that the bottom of the radiator is leaking at all. So I'd guess that there's a leak somewhere that drips down the radiator. The drip comes from the corner of the car (on the driver's side).

^yes.....possibly.....check the radiator over...and make sure that you didn't just have coolant come out the overflow hose on the tank and get on the rad.....but dry off the rad and make sure it's not leaking...
