Clutch fork and plate ... no spoon
I'm going to relay something that I'm hearing from my mechanic and hope that I'm saying this correct. I took my car to the shop because it had a rattle. Shop determined that it was the clutch fork hitting the clutch plate. (I think that's what he said.) They replaced those two parts and the clutch fork is still hitting the clutch plate. They are baffled and I am three and a half hours from a Mazda dealership. Anyone ever heard of this problem before? I hate to say that I'm going to have to sell my little gem and get something more mechanic friendly for this area. At this point I'm going to owe my mechanic a lot of Frostys for this one.
