So i got my clutch replaced and flywheel resurfaced and since then i have had this noise when im letting off the clutch starting into a roll. it happens in first and reverse and i also hear it when i down shift, but i only hear it when its engaging into gear;both up and down. i dont know if its the clutch or the flywheel. its as if two rough plates are grinding together. i am going to take it to a shop to make sure the tranny fluid level is good, not sure what exactly it is. if anyone has any other insight as to what it might be that would be awesome. any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

A video clip of this noise would be more helpful.
What clutch did you go with? Aftermarket or OEM?
Did the disengagement point on the pedal change (higher or lower on the pedal)?
Do you feel resistance on the pedal or hear noise coming from around there?
Might want to verify the pedal assembly didn't snap (search for related threads if you don't know what I'm talking about).

 

i went with the Exedy stage 1 clutch and no the disengagement point did not change, the only difference is the noise im hearing when im trying to take off in either first or reverse and when im down shifting. the noise i hear sounds like its coming from where the clutch is at. i never had this noise problem before with my old clutch. ill try taking a video of it and posting it up but i cant make any promises.
