Does it 'pop' down to the floor, with tension vs just being pushed down and no tension pushing it back up? Because the clutch assembly has 2 clutch positions possible, one low, one high, the low one being either against the firewall or past the firewall (only get it there if the bolt nuts are really loose). It has a very hard tension spring holding it one of those positions or another. I'd check that first. If it is freely popping down to the low position, then you don't have the assembly installed the whole way, since it can't get there if it is installed properly. Take a look in your engine bay too, one of the bolts that the clutch assembly mounts onto is directly attached to the master cylinder, and when it is tightened down properly, it pulls the master cylinder against the firewall. If you can see a gap, then it isn't done right.
The only other option is that you have something broken on the assembly itself, and you are going to have to get it rewelded.

Well I got it re welded but the pedal feel real awful like it will go down all the way to the floor and come back up late within a second. I have this guy who is willing to make a whole billet aluminum bracket for a little of nothing. The bracket I have now has so many hair line cracks but if the on I have now is defective I will still have the bracket made and put on the couch pedal
