a. i was quite calm in my post. i capitalized the manual part so it would not get lost in my post. it is very important that everyone do so. many people have not-even after several months of ownership. sorry if you thought i was harsh or yelling.
b. the first question "what is the clunk" was answered in this thread by several people and others were still questioning that answer- for future info if snap-on tells you what something is believe him.
c. when someone asked "what is it doing" i included that answer in my post- the abs pumps the brakes during the test. as far as "nor anyone on this board had been able to tell us" dont confuse people not being on to answer the question with people not having the knowledge.
d. "why?" well the smart *** answer is- "because it's designed to do it that way". but it is because of obdII and all of the things the cars can now check on that that they couldnt in the past. more and more cars have a test like this(and others) simply because it's doable now. this is also the answer to "why is it different".
ill go one step furthur than you in your last comment- "its normal, dont worry about it" should never be an answer anyone accepts from a service person. it should always be followed by-"let me explain what it is...." so a person understands the what and why. never let them off easy with that answer always make them explain.

thats what she said
Yes. I hear it. I took it to the dealership.. and they said "It's the brake caliper movingback" they said no recall has been announced yet... but the manufacturer is aware of it.
sort of a BS answer to get me off their lot.
but that's what they said.
