Check engine light

Hey guys, what causes the engine light to come on? The car drives fine and I feel nothing wrong with it??? Help please.

^lots of things can turn it on....do us and youself a favor....go to autozone/advance auto/O'rileys and get the code read for free....then report backand we can help you out!

Sounds like a loose gas cap. Make sure it clicks a few times.

I agree.

The check engine light is bothering you? Get under the hood and look and feel for anything odd and compare with healthy 8's, lol. It could be as simple as something being a bit loose. If you canot find anything then take it in but do not mess with it unless you know what you are looking at.

I agree with low fly'n 8(cant belive I forgot) if you got gas recently(or either way actually) check the gas cap....if it's loose will cause a CEL.....
