Cheap Spark plugs

I just want to mention it because in my research I havent seen anyone else.

Im from Canada, where the stealerships charge 400$ for a set of 4 spark plugs.

Im currently in the Denver area on business and figured Id see if I can find them localy for a lower price.

I know there are specials at Atkins and also sparkplugs.com etc...

I checked out Pep Boys and AutoZone in the Aurora, CO area, both can see the part number but dont have them in stock and CANT even order them.

BTW, Im talking about the RE9BT and RE7CL OEM parts.

I tried about 4 other auto parts store with no luck, until I fell on Advance Auto Parts.

http://www.advanceautoparts.com

They didint ahve them in stock, but could order them in no more than 2 days.

19.95 each plug.

Cost me 85.00$ including local sales tax for the whole set and I should be getting them by Tuesday.

Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Advance Auto Parts have ALLOT of sales points in the east and the MidWest, I dont think they are out west though.

I can get 10 of the leading plugs for 8.50 each shipped. Trailing 21 bux each shipped.

Since you're just traveling , you should get a few more plugs just in case you will not come back to the states for a long while.

These are not RX8 part numbers, they are the RX8 plugs.

BTW, I had read I can get 10 leading plugs at a low price shipped. Unfortunatly, shipping to canada always seems to upset sellers, or increase the price, and you never know how much duty you'll be hit with.

It was simpler for me to just get them here in Denver.

I travel to the US at least once a month, so Im not worried about stocking up, but thanks

Keep in mind that nygps is a guy who says he replaces his plugs every 10000 to 15000 miles.

He is as hardcore as there is. I wouldn't be surprised if that is just a fudged number, that he in fact replaces his plugs every 5000 miles or every 2 oil changes.

Good call. Those are RX8 plugs. I got caught up in the rx7 plug mayhem.

Prehaps it would be good to get in touch with a member from the area where you will be visiting, have the plugs shipped there. Then just pick them up or something.
