The one thing that should have been looked at is the fuel pump.
You can keep that in your back pocket for now.
If after the new motor is installed, its still having troubles, have them start looking over the entire fuel system.

No real way to answer that until they have it installed.

Heh. The oil debate is something of a religious war here. And the weight /type of oil doesn't really have an impact on the engine failure methods. Take a look at post #9 in the first thread link in my signature for how your engine can fail, and what you can do about it.

I will run her hard, change oil every 3,000 miles and of course other maintenance, and she should last me quite a while, right? I am just worried after what I've been through already and not even having her for 3 months I am going to continue to have nothing but problems.

Honestly, Pennzoil is a great oil.
I use it in my car, and am perfectly happy with it.
As long as you change it at a regular interval, check it every couple of tanks of gas, and top it off when it wants more, you're doing the best you can.

Voids warranties
I hope that when they put in the new engine, and the problem is still not fixed, they don't try to put the burden of the engine cost on you saying you authorized the install.

btw right next to the quote button, there is a button with " and a +, its a multiquote button. When you are done selecting people to quote, just select the quote button as usual on the last person you marked and it will automatically quote all of the people you marked.

No they wont do that the dealer would just be in the whole and the District Rep would have the managers head.

I've been "informed" of all sorts of crazy wacky things about my 8 by mechanics out there in the past 5 years. Usually it's pointless to argue with them or try to correct them, so I end up doing the 'smile and nod' and ignore them other than for laughs.
Stick to the forum here for the right info Still some people here that can/will/do give bad info or bad advice, but since it's 'public', we see it and everyone else can usually correct it before harm is done.

He just doesn't know enough about what he is talking about. Our apex seals were never a problem.
