lol, hahaha

I have had this issue before

check your "engine fuse" in the main engine compartment, I'm pretty sure it's that one, that has happened to a friend of mine before, if you turn the key and the car won't start nothing happens, doesn't crank, and the car-key light flashes fast, it's probably that one

I had exactly this same thing happen......Mark my words when you take it to the dealer they will not be able to communicate with it...and they will tell you that you need a new PCM

Don't buy one...it likely can be fixed...especially if you have another car....and don't mind waiting a couple of days.

PM me when you are ready....

It also isn't likely to be the immobilizer....my data was still in the module safe and sound when the PCM was fixed

Yes I checked both sets of fuses. I'll have to wait till tomorrow afternoon for some help with the push start.

Sending the ECU and AP to Cobb first thing in the morning. Apparently this is a freak occurence or totally unrelated to the AP. Words of encouragement would be appreciated.

The boys at Cobb are brilliant.
It is, indeed, a freak occurrence. No one seems to have ever heard of this happening.
You might still need to have your PCM re-flashed with the proper as-built data and immobilizer support.

It's unknown what happened at this point, but they are definitely being nice about it.

I think they will want to see a ROM dump and figure out what is missing, if anything.
Whether they can "fix" it will depend on whether or not its actually the PCM that is failing.

Well, there was a red-flag that went up for me.
Steve had problems with another user's unit failing to hold his calibrations and requiring multiple attempts (over many hours) to "take" his changes.
There might be an incompatibility between his version of the software/firmware and mine.
This is the only user to have this failure.
This is also the only user that has oscillated between my tune and another vendor's.

Maybe the stock flash got corrupted somehow...and the AP tried to install it that way?

I finally got the ECU and AP back from Cobb. Car runs fine now. I tried to get next day shipping to beat the holiday, but somehow managed to get a box with next day stickers all over it that went ground instead. They said the priority was to get my car working again, so they just took all the information off of it for evaluation and put it back to stock. I still haven't heard if they determined what caused the problem though. It feels so good to drive the 8 after being stuck in the family beater for 2 weeks.

Your car thinks it's stolen? Well, only one thing to do...

DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT.

Am I really the first to say that in this thread?
