Car alarm goes off by itself! WTF...
Has this happened to anyone?
It's happened to me 3 times now all in the middle of the night right outside my bedroom.. gRRR
I think I know the cause...
When I get home, I don't want to disturb anyone sleeping at home, so I don't slam the door, but close it then use both arms to give the door a good forward jolt to closed the door completely.. I arm the security system then go inside..
about 30 minutes later, it goes off.
I press the transmitter to stop it, and look outside.. I see the lights are on, but when I try to lock the car with the transmitter it won't.. I click unlock and I can hear it activate the unlock. But lock doesn't work, the light still stays on and there is no lock sound.
So I go outside and open the door and slam it this time, and the light dims immedately. I'm able to lock the door at this point..
what is going on here?? has this happened to anyone else??
Is it because I closed the door in a soft manner that caused the door sensor to "slip" or something like that.
ideas, anyone?

My car alarm didn't go off by itself, but it did do something else unexpected last night. I parked, opened then driver side door, and hit the power door lock button twice in succession accidently. This immediately sent the alarm blaring and I couldn't figure out how to stop the thing. I'll have to look into this when I get more time.
