Can you remove the parking brake handle?

I am an idiot and got that little piece from the cupholder, which you take off, which allows you to remove the shift boot piece, stuck under the parking break. There is a little space down there that it got stuck in. I have a tool that can reach in a grab it. But I can't get it back out. the brake still works. But anyone ever taken this off?

Well. Luckily after an hour, I got it out. But I messed it up in the process and had to order a new one.

But thanks anyway.

the parking brake handle just slides off with a firm tug. I replaced my stock on with the autoexe.. took all of 10 seconds. When the cover is off there's all kinds of room.
