Burning-hot smell from under car......

......after it warms up. I searched and found some threads about bad cats or plastic bags stuck to the undersides......

The smell is NOT from the engine bay. It's under the car toward the rear.

The car was odorless until two days ago. Now, when stopped at a light you just smell something burning. If you drive aggressively it worsens. If you drive easy it still exists. Stop and pull into the garage and pew. Like hot burning something (not really oily).

????

I just did another inspection underneath. This time I did see some "splatter" stuck to the exhaust pipe RIGHT before it enters the rear muffler. I didn't try to scrape it off. I will in the morning once it cools. I hope this is all it is!

If it is, in fact, the remains of a plastic bag you will probably have to let it burn off.

Funny......the more I drive the less it smells. Has to be something burning off the pipes. You guys are good! Experts at plastics and debris!
