Brass or PVC?

I broke one of those black pvc 90 that the vacum line connected to the intake. I can change either PVC or Brass 90. My question is which one is better as far a heat soak goes. I notice the line that has PVC 90 seem cooler that the one with brass. Maybe it just me. If anyone have any suggestion, I am all ears!

Thanks
