braking power loss

KY braking power loss

Hi everyone im new here and also a new Rx-8 owner ,,,,,,,,,,,,and definitely new to the rotary engines .Is there anyone here who has had problems with braking. My problem is that when i break the egines sounds or trie's to shut down or loses power but today the opposite happen i went to break and the pedal was hard to push down on and the car keep wanting to accelerate can someone please help me with this issue .............. thanks so much Ellhavlin if you want email me directly nikon99@hotmail.com

Go to a Mazda dealer and get a compression test on your engine, and take a look at your brake pads and fluid. You might need a brake flush.

Sounds like a problem with the power brake booster. It's vacuum operated. A leak would kill braking power, and also let more air into the intake. That would cause either stalling or higher power, depending on the ECU's mood.

Best take it to a dealer before you get into a wreck.
