Brake Light Dashboard Dummy Light

My brake light goes on an off even when the brake is fully down. Anyone else every experience this? Is there a fuse or something I could pull to stop it? In the 5 years since I've had the car I've never once driven with the hand brake engaged.

I'll be driving and the light will come on. I'll keep drive and it'll stay on for some time but then randomly turn off.

Weird ..

consult your owner's manual.
there's another reason (other then the brake being engaged) that can cause the light to come on.

Tyler - if you haven't found your owner's manual yet, it's probably low brake fluid. And it would be low because your brake pads are wearing out.
